LISTENING
The Listening test is the first module you will see on the test. All test takers begin with an unscored practice task followed by 6 tasks in total. There are 38 questions in total that measure test-takers in 3 types of questioning: GENERAL MEANING, SPECIFIC INFORMATION and INFERENCE. All questions are multiple choice and test ability in understanding daily life conversations, monologues, discussions and lecture based scenarios.
READING
The Reading Test is the second module for test takers. It is 60 minutes in length and there are 4 reading parts. Also, there may be one additional part somewhere in the Reading Test known as an unscored/ungraded task used for test research.
WRITING
The Writing test is the third test and is with 2 tasks. It is approximately 55 minutes and each task is different. Task 1 allows 27 minutes to write an email, while Task 2 is 26 minutes to respond to a survey question. The word count is 150-200 words and the time remaining cannot be transferred.
SPEAKING
The Speaking test is the last module. It is approximately 20 minutes. There are 8 tasks in the test with a Practice Task (Task 0). Test takers will read a short prompt (or question) on the test screen, prepare response from time given, and record the response using the headset microphone provided.
